Irish Win Wilmington Invitational

Dublin Scioto Girls XC team starts the 2010 season strong by winning the FinishTiming.com X-C Invitational in Wilmington, OH. Minori finished 1st overall. 5 Irish runners finished in the top 17 overall. 

This Week's Pasta Dinner

This week's Pasta Dinner is at the Langui's on Thursday at 6 PM. Their address is 2423 Wyncourtney Ct. Driving directions from Dublin Scioto High School are available below.

2010 XC Pasta Dinners

Thanks to all of your generous offers to help, we now have all our slots filled for our weekly pasta dinners! The chart showing the schedule, host families, who is picking up, who is doing dessert etc can be downloaded below.

Delores Groh will send out a reminder to host families the week they are hosting to send out directions and to touch base with their pickup and dessert persons.

If you have not turned in you check for the dinners to Coach Suttle or let me know your daughter will be participating, please let Delores Groh know today. She needs to turn in a final number to Sumeno's tomorrow.

New Fundraiser: Sell Football Tickets for Oct. 15 game

We have a great opportunity to earn $400.00 for the team with a super easy fundraiser. Kip Witchey, Scioto Athletic Director has offered Coach Suttle the opportunity for 14 XC parents to sell football tickets at the October 15th home football game. PLEASE LET Jane Keeran KNOW ASAP or at least by Friday 8/27.

We'll meet prior to the game and receive a quick training and begin selling tickets. If you can count then you can sell tickets! It's that easy! Steve and Jane sold tickets during Lindsay's freshman season and they had a great time. They worked with other parents and enjoyed seeing the kids and chatting with parents. By the third quarter, you are done.

Team Tent Volunteer Sign Up

We need a volunteer to bring the team tent to each meet and to help set it up. The sign up sheet is available at the link below. The Mason Invitational should be taken care of so that meet will not need a parent volunteer. Please e-mail Stephan Keeran with the your volunteer date and he will update the sign up sheet.

Girls on the Run Service Project

The link below is an opportunity that some of XC team members might want to take advantage of. Several of the XC team members need service hours in high school and this would be an opportunity to use your love of running to do so. It involves being a volunteer coach for some inner-city teenage girls to help put them on the right path through a running program. It is through Children's Hospital. The total time commitment is unknown, but it is a good cause. Let Coach Suttle know if anyone you are interested.
